School holidays this week so Jungle Gym was chockers. One great thing about their setup is that there is so much stuff to play on that you can keep going back every few months. Each visit there will be something new and exciting to try. One thing for sure, Elliot comes home exhausted.

Working our way through Perth’s Baby Cafe’s

We are on holidays at home this week. Part of the plan is to eat out as much as possible. Elliot now knows that as we walk towards a cafe, he can ask for a coffee. So he dutifully joins us as we have our morning coffee and has his own babycino.

Elliot turns 2 tomorrow. Wow, feels like it was 5 years ago he joined our lives. He is now so much a part of our lives we couldn’t imagine life without him.
Julia made awesome cupcakes with frosted icing. They were a real hit with Elliot and his cousins.
Now that he is asleep and the dishes are done, we can relax and reflect on the last 2 years. What a huge blessing to be given a little life to look after. Families are a great invention. Well done God.
Walking on Water

We are nearing the end of the first term of Elliot’s swimming lessons. The lessons are fun and games disguised as learning. Elliot can now hang on the side of the pool and scramble himself out. It wouldn’t be enough to stop him getting into trouble as toddlers have absolutely no water sense. At least he is getting used to going under the water and hopefully on the path to learning how to swim. Here each `aqua treasure’ runs across the mat and jumps off the end. Lots of praise and squeals, great stuff.
A Wee Toddle around Burswood

Today was the HBF Toddle for Telethon. Hundreds of families went to Burswood Park to a 2km toddle. HBF really gets behind the event - and good on them for promoting exercise. The HBF doctor told us that an important exercise was with our thumb - to turn off our TVs. Dorothy the Dinosaur was there as well as some other strangely dressed dudes on stage. All a bit old for our toddler. For those into freebies there was free bananas, free sunscreen, balloons and even pots of bubbles for all. A great morning. Thanks HBF !
